Featuring split-screen live preview, full-screen graphical preview (font formatting and styles), and focus mode for a distraction free retro word processing experience.
All markdown syntax in this document is supported, and will be 'rendered' in the live preview or graphical preview (including tables!).
Files will be opened "as is". The Tidy button will convert HTML tags (except some basic font formatting ones), strip Unicode characters - that can't be converted to DOS CP437 (including emoji except smiley and sad face, card suits and a few other symbols), remove superfluous line breaks, change markdown syntax to be consistent, remove unsupported markdown syntax.
You may want to run this on files coming from a modern environment.
The Split button toggles between markdown entry only, split-screen preview, and preview only.
You can press CTRL+M or click the ≡ button to display a document map, based on headings, allowing you to easily navigate a long document.
Show displays a rendered full-screen graphical preview of the markdown document, in DOS! Complete with fonts, formatting, table rendering, code blocks, images, hyperlinks.
Up/Down/PgUp/PgDn scrolls, Home/End goes to beginning or end of document, and Esc returns to the editor.
Pressing F2 cycles through different color schemes.
You can click internal document links to navigate to heading sections.
Note the 'Show' graphical preview requires a VGA display adapter.
There's also a Focus mode for distraction free writing.
In Focus mode, pressing F2 cycles through different color schemes. You can also use the Document Map (CTRL+M) to jump to headings in the document.
Save and print the current page with the respective buttons.
And you can press F11 or the Maximize titlebar button to go full-screen.
