Printing from accessories

Calculator, Calendar, Note, Markdown, Journal, Stack and To-Dos all support printing.

• When the Print button is clicked, or CTRL+P keyboard shortcut used, a pop-up menu with 3 choices: Basic, Epson ESC/P and Postscript PS will be shown.

• Basic sends the document to the printer on LPT1. Only unformatted, monospaced, plain text will be printed.

• ESC/P will send the document to a printer on LPT1 using ESC/P commands with full font formatting and styling. Most dot matrix printers through the 80s and 90s will support this.

  • Sample Print-out printed on an Epson LQ-570 dot matrix printer (and scanned). I'm still working on perfecting the ESC/P output.

• PS will create a Postscript file in the exports sub-directory. This is a formatted document and you can easily move it to a modern machine and print from there or convert to PDF.
