CouchLiteOS (formerly MoonlightOS) turns an old PC into a game-streaming box for the couch. It is based on Debian 13 and starts straight into a TV interface, in the style of the PS3, that works with a controller, a keyboard or a TV remote. Your games come first, with their covers. It is a streaming appliance, not a general-purpose desktop.

Also included: a guided Setup Wizard, a quick menu over any app, game covers and per-game stream settings, fourteen themes, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth (controllers, headphones and speakers) from the controller, sleep and Wake-on-LAN, HDMI-CEC TV control, an on-screen keyboard and typing on your phone, a controller mouse for browsers, and updates from the couch that you can undo.
- Install: pick the right ISO, write the USB stick, boot it, and (recommended) install to the disk.
- First Setup: the Setup Wizard and a tour of Settings.
- The Home Screen: the categories and what the screen shows.
- Controls and Shortcuts: Home, the quick menu, the on-screen keyboard, typing on your phone, and the controller mouse.
- Streaming with Moonlight: pair your gaming PC.
- Themes and Appearance: colours, background and the classic look.
