Appearance
The Appearance page controls how supported parts of a UniPanels panel look.
Available options depend on the panel type.
Supported panels can control:
- Body visibility
- Border visibility
This makes it possible to create anything from a fully framed display to a more minimal panel where only the content remains visible.
Color Panels provide configurable surface colors.
Selecting a color opens the contextual Color editor.
The Color editor provides:
- preset colors;
- Red, Green and Blue controls;
- the current color value.
Changes are reflected in the panel configuration and can be inspected using Live Preview.
Texture Panels use Minecraft block textures instead of only flat surface colors.
Selecting Texture opens the dedicated Texture Browser.
The Texture Browser allows you to:
- search available block textures;
- browse matching results;
- select a texture;
- inspect the current selection;
- use Live Preview while editing.
See Texture Mapping for detailed surface-mapping controls.
Texture Panels can apply texture settings to different parts of the panel.
Supported targets may include:
- Face
- Border
- Left
- Right
- Top
- Bottom
- Back
Each supported surface can retain its own texture mapping configuration.
The panel body and border can be shown or hidden independently where supported.
This allows combinations such as:
- full panel with body and border;
- body only;
- border only;
- minimal content-focused displays.
Appearance settings that require more detailed editing use the right-side Context Inspector.
For example:
- Color opens the Color inspector;
- texture mapping uses the mapping inspector;
- visibility controls remain directly accessible from the Appearance page.
The Appearance page supports the UniPanels Live Preview.
Use it to inspect changes to:
- surface color;
- selected texture;
- body visibility;
- border visibility;
- texture mapping.
The preview can be zoomed and rotated without closing the editor.
Appearance options are capability-based.
For example:
- Basic Panel — local panel appearance and visibility where supported;
- Advanced Panel — appearance and visibility alongside larger panel dimensions;
- Color Panel — configurable surface colors;
- Texture Panel — block textures and per-surface mapping.
Unsupported controls are not shown.
