Known Issues
UniPanels is currently in beta / active development.
This page lists known limitations, incomplete areas and issues that may affect current builds.
The current UniPanels feature set is functional, but some behavior may still change before a stable release.
Possible changes may include:
- GUI refinements;
- compatibility improvements;
- performance tuning;
- additional source providers;
- new content/layout features;
- changes based on player feedback.
Some development environments may fail before Java compilation because of Gradle or native dependency issues.
Examples seen during development include failures involving:
- NeoForge Gradle plugin resolution;
-
native-platform.dll; - restricted/offline Gradle environments.
These development-environment failures do not necessarily indicate a problem with the mod's Java code.
UniPanels uses a wide workspace-style interface and reserves space for common item browsers such as REI or EMI.
Unusual GUI Scale values, custom UI mods or heavily modified screen layouts may still cause:
- cramped controls;
- overlapping elements;
- reduced available workspace;
- unusual preview sizing.
If this occurs, try adjusting Minecraft GUI Scale or temporarily hiding conflicting overlays.
The Live Preview is intended to closely represent the configured panel, but some rendering differences may still occur compared with the final panel in the world.
If you encounter a consistent discrepancy, please report it with screenshots of both the preview and the placed panel.
Applied Energistics 2, Mekanism and Ars Nouveau support depends on:
- the installed mod version;
- the selected block;
- what data that block exposes;
- the current UniPanels provider implementation.
Not every block from a supported mod is guaranteed to expose every possible value.
UniPanels cannot display values that the source block does not expose through a supported system.
A missing value is not always a bug.
Check the available categories in the Source Data Browser before reporting missing data.
NBT structures can vary significantly between blocks and mods.
Some deeply nested or unusual values may not currently be exposed in a convenient form.
Synchronized scrolling groups are functional, but advanced group composition features are not yet implemented.
Current Groups focus on:
- membership;
- synchronized horizontal scrolling;
- shared speed;
- preserving relative entry positions.
Features such as a dedicated freeform composition canvas or advanced group-relative layout are not currently part of the released feature set.
Text Entries currently focus on single-line display behavior.
Automatic paragraph-style word wrapping is not currently implemented.
Long text may therefore be better suited to scrolling until additional text-layout options are added.
Texture mapping supports per-surface tiling, zoom and offset.
Some block textures may produce unexpected visual results depending on:
- texture structure;
- panel dimensions;
- tiling values;
- zoom settings;
- offsets.
This does not always indicate a rendering bug.
Some features discussed during development may not yet be available in the current release.
Documentation should be treated as authoritative for the current public feature set.
If you encounter an issue that is not listed here, please report it through the UniPanels issue tracker.
Include:
- UniPanels version;
- Minecraft version;
- NeoForge version;
- panel type;
- relevant compatibility mods and versions;
- steps to reproduce;
- screenshots where useful;
- relevant logs.
For persistence issues, also mention whether the problem survives:
- reopening the panel;
- reloading the world;
- restarting Minecraft.
