Icon Entries
Icon Entries display Minecraft item icons on a UniPanels panel.
They are useful for:
- identifying machines or resources;
- showing item-related information;
- combining icons with text labels;
- creating compact visual indicators;
- building grouped text-and-icon compositions.
Open the panel editor and go to:
Content → + Icon
A new Icon Entry is added to the panel and can then be configured from its editor.
The Icon field opens the built-in Icon Browser.
The browser allows you to:
- search available items;
- browse matching results;
- view item names;
- inspect the currently selected item;
- use Live Preview while making a selection.
Selecting an item updates the current Icon Entry.
Icon Entries can include a configurable label where supported.
The label can be edited separately from the selected item itself.
This makes it possible to use an item icon while displaying a custom name or description.
Icon size can be adjusted from the Style section.
Changing the size affects how large the item icon appears on the panel.
Use Live Preview to check the result while editing.
Where supported, Icon Entries can use the contextual Color inspector.
The color editor provides:
- preset colors;
- Red, Green and Blue controls;
- the current color value.
Icon positioning is controlled through the Alignment inspector.
Horizontal alignment supports:
- Left
- Center
- Right
Vertical alignment supports:
- Top
- Center
- Bottom
Fine horizontal and vertical positioning can also be adjusted using the alignment controls.
Eligible Icon Entries can scroll horizontally.
Scrolling settings include:
- Scroll enabled/disabled;
- scrolling speed.
When the Icon Entry is not part of a group, these settings belong to the individual entry.
Icon Entries can be grouped together with other Icon Entries or Text Entries.
While grouped:
- the group's Scroll setting controls whether the group moves;
- the group's Speed setting controls the shared movement speed;
- all group members move together;
- relative spacing between differently sized entries is preserved.
The Icon Entry's own individual scroll settings remain stored while it is grouped.
If the entry leaves the group, its individual settings become active again.
See Groups and Synchronized Scrolling.
Where supported, the entry's label can be shown or hidden from the Icon Entry editor.
The Icon Entry editor supports the UniPanels Live Preview.
Use Preview mode to inspect changes to:
- icon selection;
- label;
- size;
- color;
- alignment;
- scrolling;
- group behavior.
The preview can be zoomed and rotated without closing the editor.
Use Back to return to the Content list.
The browser-style navigation system also allows you to use Forward to return to the Icon Entry editor if needed.
Your entry settings remain associated with the panel while navigating between pages.
