Installation and Compatibility

Requirements

• Minecraft 1.12.2
• Minecraft Forge 14.23.5.x
• Thaumcraft 6.1.BETA26
• MixinBooter 10.5+
• Java 8+

JEI is strongly recommended because Thaumic Forever adds many crafting, crucible and infusion recipes.

Installation

1. Install Forge for Minecraft 1.12.2.
2. Place Thaumcraft, MixinBooter and Thaumic Forever in mods/.
3. Start the game once to generate config/thaumicforever.cfg.
4. Review world-generation options before creating a permanent world.

Optional integrations

Thaumic Forever detects optional mods at runtime. Current version includes content or recipe hooks for Botania, Immersive Engineering alchemy entries, Industrial Upgrade, Thaumic Additions and Thaumic Tinkerer Unofficial resources. See Integrations.

Common problems

Symptom	Check
Old Research duplicate mod error	Remove oldresearch-*.jar from mods/. Thaumic Forever already includes the Old Research functionality internally, so installing Old Research separately will cause a duplicate mod id error.
Missing Bauble slots	This feature works only with the original Baubles mod. Forks or replacements of Baubles may not be compatible.
No addon recipes	Some optional addon recipes appear only when the required addons or integration mods are installed. If the related mod is missing, those recipes will not be registered.
No structures or ores	Check config values and newly generated chunks.
