Grappling Hook

The grappling hook is a ranged item used to transport players upwards or to the underside of blocks.

Obtaining

Crafting:

Ingredients: Copper Ingot $\times$ 3, String $\times$ 2, Lead, Tripwire Hook
Result: Grappling Hook

Usage

Transportation:

Holding use on the grappling hook will pull back the launcher string until taught. Releasing will fire the hook at an initial speed of 40 m/s, extending a rope along the way. If the hook flies more than 48 blocks away it will return to the launcher. Upon impact, the rope will start pulling the firer directly to its impact point. The firer can stop the retraction at any time.
