Missing parts and warnings

English | Русский

Known issue in alpha 0.19.328: 27 producer prefab names differ in letter case from the native registry. This is not fixed in the issued package; review missing parts on import. The correction and successful 251/502-part catalogue checks belong only to the internal 0.19.329 candidate. Eight bounded native data checks are accepted for that candidate. Four direct producer-profile checks (.blueprint/.vbuild) have passed independent review. Acceptance of 2.17 covers codec/profile data only in the internal 0.19.329 candidate. Gameplay sections 3–13 and multiplayer remain open.

Updated 31 October 2026. Issued private alpha: 0.19.328. This is not a public beta or a Thunderstore package. Version and limits.

The internal 0.19.329 candidate has passed eight bounded native data checks. Four direct producer-profile checks (.blueprint/.vbuild) have passed independent review. Acceptance of 2.17 covers codec/profile data only in the internal 0.19.329 candidate. Strict player-state endpoints differ; the cause is not established. Inventory, source files and catalogue content hashes were preserved; the ordinary-save comparison covered metadata only. This run does not establish UI, world construction, new visual frames, networking or a cold-process test. The next requirement is 2.18; the 2.16 HOLD is unchanged. The .280 examples and 23 October captures describe their historical version; they do not validate 0.19.328 or the 0.19.329 candidate.

Purpose and starting point

A missing prefab remains a record with its position, rotation, and scale. You can locate it and create your own replacement. Open the incomplete blueprint and use Save As to protect the original variant first.

Locate and replace

  1. Enable the missing-parts filter in the object tree and select one missing record.
  2. If local dimensions are known, use its transformed bounds as a guide. If they are unknown, the marker is symbolic: a model's origin need not be its centre.
  3. Add available parts from the catalogue, then select them together with one missing record.
  4. Choose ALIGN and inspect the preview. Copies of your parts appear at the missing record; both originals and the missing record remain.
  5. Use REPLACE if you also want that one missing record removed. Esc cancels the preview; Ctrl+Z undoes a completed operation in one step.
  6. Inspect the placement and save. Unknown dimensions require manual adjustment.

Expected result: your own construction occupies the missing part's location. The bounds are not a reconstructed model. There is no arbitrary substitution based on a similar name.

Make a separate copy without missing parts

During import review, explicitly choose a copy without missing records if appropriate. Inspect what will be excluded: a roof or support may disappear. The original remains unchanged. If no available parts remain, empty conversion is refused.

Situation What to do
A part is absent from the current hammer Check mod dependencies, availability, or an explicit replacement; import does not install mods
Dimensions are unknown Use the recorded origin/rotation, then adjust manually
Data is archived but behaviour unsupported Retain the full document; do not expect unknown state to be restored
Contents or administrative properties Check separate options and permissions; an archive grants no free items

Common confusion: ALIGN leaves the missing record in place by design. REPLACE removes it. The known migration wood_wall_roof → wood_wall_roof_a is not a general similar-name search.

Limit: individual import/alignment cases have been accepted, not the entire external corpus or every native part.
