Your first blueprint

English | Русский

Updated 31 October 2026. Issued private alpha: 0.19.328. This is not a public beta or a Thunderstore package. Version and limits.

The internal 0.19.329 candidate has passed eight bounded native data checks. Four direct producer-profile checks (.blueprint/.vbuild) have passed independent review. Acceptance of 2.17 covers codec/profile data only in the internal 0.19.329 candidate. Strict player-state endpoints differ; the cause is not established. Inventory, source files and catalogue content hashes were preserved; the ordinary-save comparison covered metadata only. This run does not establish UI, world construction, new visual frames, networking or a cold-process test. The next requirement is 2.18; the 2.16 HOLD is unchanged. The .280 examples and 23 October captures describe their historical version; they do not validate 0.19.328 or the 0.19.329 candidate.

Purpose and starting point

Begin with a separate copy of a small building. Have either a supported file you may use or an accessible building of your own. In the world, use a serviceable hammer. Resources and permissions are required for construction, not for viewing a document in the editor.

Start from a file

  1. Open the hammer's blueprint catalogue, or the editor catalogue with Tab or Shift+A.
  2. Open Import file, select a supported file, and read the review: included parts, missing prefabs, and losses. Choose a category if needed.
  3. Select Confirm import and wait for completion. A separate copy is created; the original file is unchanged.
  4. In the hammer catalogue, hold RMB over the card, point to EDIT, and release.

Or capture your building

  1. Choose SELECT IN WORLD in the catalogue.
  2. Set the area and height limits, use Refresh selection, inspect the list, and save the selection under your own name. World pieces remain in place.
  3. Find the new card and open it in the editor. See World selection for capture limits.

Edit and save a variant

  1. Select a part with LMB. Press F to frame it; Home frames the document.
  2. Use Ctrl+2 for the gizmo and drag an arrow, or use G/R/S. Enter/LMB confirms, Esc cancels the current preview, and Ctrl+Z undoes a completed operation.
  3. Press Ctrl+Shift+S for SAVE AS…. Enter a new name and category. The saved personal variant receives a new ID.

Place it in the world

  1. Return to the catalogue and select the saved card for placement.
  2. Inspect the ghost's position and rotation. Default precision controls are F9 to toggle precision, F10 to freeze the ghost, and held left Alt to release the pointer for handles.
  3. Check materials, stations, part availability, and permissions. Confirm using the construction action shown by the current HUD.
  4. If a project remains, continue at its board. It is not yet a finished building.

Expected result: a saved variant and confirmed native parts built with normal costs. One earlier imported 28-part house passed payment and reload checks; that is not a guarantee for every file, item, size, or server.

Common problem: a card exists but placement is refused. Read the reason: importing again does not supply a missing prefab, station, resource, or permission. Persistence of your particular building requires its own reload check; a thumbnail does not prove it.
