Downloads
AdultHideout includes a download queue, background progress display and a Download Manager.
AdultHideout checks the selected destination by creating and removing a small test file before a download enters the queue.
When no destination is configured, or Kodi can no longer write to it, AdultHideout offers three choices:
- Choose another folder opens Kodi's folder browser.
- Use Kodi-safe storage selects a private folder inside AdultHideout's Kodi profile. Kodi can write there on every supported platform, including restrictive Android devices.
- Cancel leaves the current configuration unchanged.
Local folders and Kodi-configured SMB or NFS locations are supported. Android and Fire TV may restrict removable USB storage even when the folder is visible in Kodi. Use Kodi-safe storage when the operating system refuses every selected folder.
The default Auto method chooses the compatible built-in path. FFmpeg and external downloaders are optional and remain disabled until configured.
Open it from the website context menu. It shows active, queued, completed and failed jobs. The permanent main-menu entry is optional: enable Show download manager if you want it visible even when no download is running.
Built-in downloads run one at a time. Additional videos remain visibly queued instead of competing for bandwidth or starting several Kodi background workers. Cancelling the active job automatically starts the next one.
Use Retry download after a failure. AdultHideout asks the original website for a fresh stream link before continuing because many download URLs expire. Direct files resume from an existing partial download when the server supports HTTP Range requests.
The Kodi-native background display can remain visible for 10 seconds, one minute or continuously. Downloads continue after the notification disappears.
Network destinations supported by Kodi, including configured SMB or NFS locations, can be selected as the download folder when the platform grants write access.
