Reporting Issues and Uploading Logs

A useful report makes a problem reproducible. Please include the information below instead of posting only a screenshot or the final error message.

Before opening an issue

1. Update AdultHideout and Kodi.
2. Restart Kodi once.
3. Reproduce the problem again.
4. Check whether the affected website opens in a normal browser.
5. Search the existing issues for the same problem.

Information to include

• Device and operating system version
• Kodi version
• AdultHideout version
• Website name
• Video or page URL when one specific item fails
• What you expected to happen
• What actually happened
• Whether the problem happens every time

Run AdultHideout Diagnostics

Open AdultHideout Settings → General → AdultHideout Diagnostics → Open diagnostics. This launcher is always visible. If the companion add-on is not installed, AdultHideout offers to install it from the AdultHideout Repository and starts it afterwards.

• Test one website when the problem is limited to one source.
• Use Select websites for a small group.
• Use Smart check all websites for a wider installation check.
• Use a full playback test only when listing and artwork checks pass but playback or seeking still fails.

Export the latest JSON report and attach it to the GitHub issue. The report is designed to avoid passwords, cookies and complete local paths.

Upload a Kodi debug log

Use Kodi's official Kodi Logfile Uploader instead of a maintenance wizard:

1. Open Add-ons → Install from repository → Kodi Add-on repository → Program add-ons.
2. Install Kodi Logfile Uploader.
3. Enable Kodi debug logging when requested.
4. Reproduce the AdultHideout problem.
5. Run Kodi Logfile Uploader immediately afterwards.
6. Add the resulting paste.kodi.tv URL or code to the issue.

Do not paste the entire log directly into the issue and do not upload a log created before the problem was reproduced.

Privacy

Kodi logs can contain local usernames, folder names, device names and network paths. Review a log before sharing it publicly. Remove passwords, tokens, cookies or other credentials if they appear. Never attach downloaded videos or other copyrighted media to an issue.
