Container Type

Container Type is a master that defines container sizes and specifications used in Sea Freight. Examples include 20ft, 40ft, 40ft HC, 45ft.

Each container type has dimensions (length, width, height), TEU factor, weight capacity, and volume capacity. It is used when adding containers to Sea Booking and Sea Shipment.

To access Container Type, go to:

Home > Logistics > Container Type

1. How to Create a Container Type

  1. Go to the Container Type list, click New.
  2. Enter Container Type (e.g., "20ft", "40ft HC").
  3. Enter Length, Width, Height (in cm or ft).
  4. Enter TEU Factor (1 for 20ft, 2 for 40ft).
  5. Enter Max Gross Weight and Tare Weight.
  6. Save the document.
