Master Bill
Master Bill (Master Bill of Lading) is issued by the carrier to the freight forwarder for consolidated (LCL) cargo. The forwarder issues House BLs to individual shippers; the Master BL covers the consolidated container.
Industry practice: One Master BL per container; multiple House BLs reference it.
To access: Home > Sea Freight > Master Bill
- Sea Consolidation with consolidated shipments
- Shipping Line, Vessel, Voyage details
Typically created from Sea Consolidation. Enter Master BL number, carrier details, and link to consolidation.
All fields from DocType Master Bill and nested child tables, in form order (including layout breaks). Columns: Label with technical field name in backticks, Type, and Description (from the DocType definition and standard freight/ERP semantics).
