Biblio

Biblio is a Minecraft Java Edition mod that turns public-domain literature into collectible written books and scatters them through structure loot.

The catalog embedded in Biblio 1.0.5 contains 848 works represented by 12,983 physical in-game books. Short works fit in one book. Longer works follow their natural chapters, acts, cantos, letters, stories, essays, or other divisions and continue across multiple volumes when necessary.

What Biblio adds

  • Complete public-domain prose from cited editions rather than generated summaries
  • Five physical qualities: First Edition, Fine, Common/Library Edition, Worn, and Damaged
  • Rare signed copies with signature metadata, a glint, and special rarity
  • Biome-aware books in vanilla structure chests
  • An operator menu for enabling or disabling collections, works, divisions, or individual volumes in chest loot
  • Commands for samples, selected books, diagnostics, and an organized complete collection
  • Optional Scholar presentation enhancements
  • A data-driven compatibility API for adding thematically matched Biblio books to another mod's loot tables
