Catalog and Commands

All /biblio commands require permission level 2, which normally means server operator permission or cheats enabled in singleplayer.

Older /function famous_books:... entry points remain for compatibility, but /biblio is the supported user-facing interface.

Giving a book

Start typing and use tab completion for the book ID:

/biblio give <book>

Options are space-separated:

/biblio give moby_dick quality=first signed=true

Supported quality values are:

random, first, fine, common, worn, damaged

rarity= is accepted as an alias for quality=. library is accepted as an alias for common. Supported signed values are random, true, and false; the parser also accepts yes/no and signed/unsigned forms.

If omitted, both selections are random according to the normal loot weights.

Creating a complete collection

The default is an unsigned First Edition collection:

/biblio collection

Request another unsigned quality with:

/biblio collection quality=fine
/biblio collection quality=library
/biblio collection quality=worn
/biblio collection quality=damaged

Collections are always unsigned. In Biblio 1.0.5, each collection contains 12,983 books in 522 color-coded shulker boxes, organized into 8 top-level catalog categories across 24 barrels.

Placement warning: the command places a labeled barrel wall two blocks south of the player and replaces blocks in those positions. Stand in a prepared area with sufficient room before running it.

Browsing the catalog

The Full Biblio Catalog is copied from Biblio's generated catalog and lists every work and physical volume. It includes available author, translator or reteller, source collection, and Project Gutenberg edition. Links into the private source repository's generated loot-table files have been removed from the public copy.

The in-game chest settings screen uses the same broad hierarchy to let operators enable or disable groups and individual physical volumes.
