Translate whole seasons of subtitles with an AI model. Polygluttony translates .ass subtitle files with the AI model you connect. It keeps names the same from episode 1 to episode 50, leaves your typesetting alone, checks its own work as it goes, and shows you the lines worth a second look. Free and open source, for Windows, macOS and Linux.

Subtitles in
.assformat..srtfiles aren't read; convert them first. - An AI model: an API key from Anthropic, OpenAI or Google, or a model running on your own computer through Ollama or LM Studio. Cloud providers bill you directly for what you use. Polygluttony itself costs nothing.
It works best for Chinese → English donghua, where it has a dedicated prompt and builds a glossary as part of translating. Any pair of its 15 languages works.
