User Manual Navigation
The whole interface is one screen at a time, driven by five gestures. There are no small targets to hit.
| Gesture | What it does |
|---|---|
| Press and hold | Opens the menu from Ready. Inside the menu, closes it and returns to the timer |
| Tap | Chooses the thing on screen — select, enter, confirm |
| Swipe left | Next choice |
| Swipe right | Previous choice |
| Swipe down | Back one level |
| Double tap | Ends a running session |
Two things are deliberate and worth knowing:
- Only a hold opens the menu. A tap on the dashboard does nothing, so a knock in a moving car cannot take you out of the timer.
- Only a double tap ends a session. A single touch never will.
Every carousel has arrows at its left and right edges, and they are buttons. A gloved hand on a capacitive screen does not always produce a swipe the device recognises, so you can always tap the arrows instead.
Hold to open. You arrive at REVIEW; swipe to reach the rest.

├── REVIEW ........ last sessions and their laps
├── MODE .......... what the device shows
├── TRACK ......... which circuit is loaded
├── TRIGGER ....... what starts a session
├── SETUP ......... settings, G-meter, display
└── DIAGNOSTICS ... what the hardware is doing
Swipe down backs out one level at a time. Holding leaves the menu entirely from wherever you are, so you are never more than one deliberate gesture from the timer.
REVIEW opens the last recorded sessions, one card per value, swipe to read through.
MODE lists the eight modes. Tapping one applies it immediately and returns you to the timer — choosing a mode is the whole interaction. The title shows the mode currently in force, so you can see what is set before changing it.
TRACK lists every circuit found on the memory card. Tapping one loads it and saves the choice.
TRIGGER chooses what starts a session: MANUAL, IMU or GPS. Like Mode, tapping
applies it and returns.
SETUP has three entries:
-
DEVICE SETTINGS— the twelve settings, each on its own screen -
CAPTURE GATES— record a circuit's start, finish and pit lines from where you are parked, which is what makes a provisional circuit able to time laps. See Tracks -
0-X TARGET— the speed a 0-X run is timed to, opened directly -
G-METERandDISPLAY— drawn, but not yet connected to anything
DIAGNOSTICS is four pages of what the hardware is doing. See Diagnostics.
Session length, rest length and average lap are not picked from a list — they are set on a two-column roller, because no sensible list could cover a range running to 59:59.
On the roller:
- Swipe up and down to change the column you are on
- Swipe left and right to move between minutes and seconds
- Press and hold to save
A tap does nothing here on purpose: saving is deliberate, and a stray press must not commit a half-rolled value.
