The Session Screens

← User Manual

A session is one run. The device moves through four screens around it.

READY ──start──▶ RUNNING ──ends──▶ REST ──▶ READY
                      │
└──▶ REVIEW (afterwards, from the menu)

Ready

The dashboard. It shows the circuit, the session and rest durations, and whether GPS, storage and the motion sensor are ready.

The track line is the one to read before going out — it tells you whether laps will be timed. See Getting Started.

Starting

What starts a session depends on your TRIGGER setting: hold → TRIGGER.

Trigger Starts when
MANUAL You start it
IMU The motion sensor detects a launch
GPS You cross the pit exit line

MANUAL is what the device did before triggers existed, and is what to fall back on if a trigger will not arm.

With IMU, the LAUNCH setting decides how hard an acceleration counts. With GPS, the circuit must have a pit exit defined — and must be timing-ready.

While running

What you see depends on your mode. In Track Day and Race the panel shows the session countdown, with the circuit name and a line stating which mode is running.

The LOWER FIELD setting chooses what sits beneath the countdown: time elapsed, or laps remaining. Laps remaining needs an AVERAGE LAP to estimate from.

Double tap to end the session. A single touch will not, which is deliberate — ending a session by accident mid-lap is not something a tap should be able to do.

Overtime

If you run past the session duration the display changes rather than stopping. The session has not ended; it is telling you that you are over.

Rest

Between sessions the device counts down the REST duration, so you know when you are due out again. It returns to Ready on its own.

Review

Hold → REVIEW.

Past sessions, one value per screen, swiped through — a session read in the paddock has no reason to be crammed into small rows.

This is where Track Day laps appear. They are recorded while you are out and shown only afterwards.

Sessions are written to the memory card as they run, so power loss costs you at most the session in progress. If the card is missing or full, the Ready screen says logging is unavailable before you go out rather than after.
