User Manual Settings
Hold → SETUP → DEVICE SETTINGS. Each setting is its own screen: swipe to the one you
want, tap to open it, tap a value to apply it. Changes are saved immediately and survive a
power cycle.
They appear in this order.
| Setting | Values | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| SESSION | 1:00 to 24:00:00, on a roller | How long a session runs |
| REST | up to 24:00:00, on a roller | The countdown between sessions |
| AVERAGE LAP | up to 59:59, on a roller | Your typical lap, used to estimate laps remaining |
| LOWER FIELD |
ELAPSED / LAPS LEFT
|
What sits under the session countdown |
| LAP LINE |
START / FINISH
|
Which line closes a lap on circuits where they differ |
| PIT ENTRY STOP |
OFF / ON
|
Ends the session automatically when you enter the pits |
| LAUNCH | 0.15 G to 1.00 G | How hard an acceleration counts as a launch, for the IMU trigger |
| DAY BRIGHT | 25 / 50 / 75 / 100% | Screen brightness in daylight |
| NIGHT BRIGHT | 25 / 50 / 75 / 100% | Screen brightness in the dark |
| AUTO DIM |
OFF / ON
|
Dims the screen when the car is stationary |
| ORIENTATION | 0 / 90 / 180 / 270 / AUTO
|
Which way up the display sits |
| 0-X TARGET | 30 / 40 / 50 / 60 / 70 / 100 mph | The speed a 0-X run is timed to |
SESSION, REST and AVERAGE LAP are set on a two-column roller rather than chosen
from a list, because no sensible list could cover a range reaching 59:59 — an earlier
curated ladder stopped at 3:00 and could not reach most real lap times.
On the roller: swipe up and down to change a column, left and right to move between minutes and seconds, and press and hold to save. A tap does nothing, so a stray press cannot commit a half-rolled value.
LOWER FIELD — LAPS LEFT needs an AVERAGE LAP to work from. Set that first, or the
field has nothing to estimate with.
LAP LINE — most circuits put start and finish in the same place, and on those this changes nothing. It matters where the two differ.
LAUNCH — this is only consulted when TRIGGER is set to IMU. The threshold is always
a real value; the trigger setting is what decides whether anything reads it. Lower values
trigger more easily; raise it if the session starts over kerbs or bumps.
DAY BRIGHT / NIGHT BRIGHT — two presets, not a schedule. The device picks between them.
AUTO DIM — dims while stationary to save the panel and your night vision in the pits.
ORIENTATION — fix it to one of the four rotations, or AUTO to let the motion sensor
decide. Fix it if the mount puts the device at an angle that confuses automatic selection.
0-X TARGET has its own entry one level up: hold -> SETUP -> 0-X TARGET opens the
speed list directly, rather than making you swipe through twelve settings to reach the one
you came for. It is the same setting either way - set it in whichever place you find first.
These are set from the top-level menu rather than from DEVICE SETTINGS, because each is a
single choice rather than a value:

Settings are stored with a checksum. If the record cannot be read back cleanly the whole record is discarded and every setting returns to its default — a partial record is not trusted, because a half-correct setting is worse than a known one.
If settings revert repeatedly, that is worth reporting rather than living with.
