The last versions are wrong (ransomware? a wrong script?). Cut them off. Carefully.

Quick summary

crop permanently deletes the most recent versions of an archive, keeping only those up to -until. Dry run by default.

Power user usage

  • -kill perform the actual crop (default: dry run)
  • -to tiny.zpaq reduce into another file (safer)
  • -until X discard every version > X
  • -maxsize X manually cut at X (RISKY)
  • -force crop in place (no backup: VERY RISKY!)

Lo spiegone

Dispatched as command + to crop().
