Event Sources

LuckyBot reacts to events on your stream, such as follows, subs, raids, cheers, and channel point redemptions. Those events can come from several sources. You can use one or several at the same time.

Twitch (built in)

This is the default and needs nothing beyond your Twitch login. Every Twitch event and action works through your login alone. Streamer.bot is never required for Twitch. When you log in, LuckyBot connects directly to Twitch and receives:

• Follows, subscriptions, resubs, gift subs, and gift bombs
• Cheers and Power-Ups (gigantify an emote, message effect, celebration)
• Raids
• Channel point redemptions
• Watch streaks and mod anniversaries
• Hype trains, polls, predictions, and charity campaigns
• Stream online and offline, and channel info updates
• Chat messages and chat notifications

Because this comes straight from Twitch, your alerts, chat, and event feed work with no other software running.

A few permissions are requested at login so the app can read these events and act for you (chat, moderation, polls, predictions, channel points, clips, and more). If a new feature later needs a permission you have not granted, sign out and back in to update it.

Other direct connections

Two more services connect directly from Settings with no relay in between:

• TikTok LIVE: chat, gifts, follows, subscribes, likes, and shares from a TikTok LIVE stream, through the free TikFinity Desktop app or a direct signed connection.
• TreatStream: treats arrive complete, straight from your TreatStream account.

Streamer.bot (optional)

Streamer.bot is a separate local app some streamers already run. It is optional. Every Twitch feature works without it. Add it only if you want one of these:

• YouTube events
• Non-Twitch sources such as tips routed through Streamer.bot
• Using Streamer.bot as your event source if you already run it

To enable it, open Streamer.bot and go to Servers/Clients > WebSocket Server and make sure it is running. Then set the address in LuckyBot under Settings > Connections if it differs from the default.

When both Twitch and Streamer.bot deliver the same event, LuckyBot fires it once. Twitch's own feed wins, Streamer.bot is the fallback, so there are no duplicate alerts or cards. Existing Streamer.bot setups keep working exactly as before.

LuckyBot Cloud (optional)

LuckyBot Cloud relays services that only speak webhooks or cloud sockets: Ko-fi, Streamlabs, StreamElements, Fourthwall, and custom WebSocket feeds. It also powers the mobile companion for watching chat and events from your phone. Connect it under Settings > Connections using a connection token.

Cloud-relayed events reach overlays, the activity feed, chatbot event triggers, thons, and the tips goal.

Choosing what triggers an alert

When you pick the event type for an alert, a variant, a reaction, or a chatbot event trigger, the event picker has three tabs:

• Twitch: events from your Twitch login, plus TikTok LIVE and TreatStream when connected
• Streamer.bot: events from a connected Streamer.bot
• Cloud: events from LuckyBot Cloud

The underlying event names are shared, so an existing Streamer.bot alert simply shows up under its source. Nothing is migrated or changed when you switch tabs.
