Spotify

LuckyBot works with Spotify in two ways: a now-playing overlay, and chatbot control with song requests from chat.

Now Playing overlay

The Spotify Now Playing template (Advanced tab of the New Overlay browser) shows your current track with album art, the track and artist, and a progress bar, with slide animations as songs change.

Open the overlay's settings and use the connect button to link your Spotify account. This opens Spotify so you can authorize, then returns to LuckyBot and stores the connection with the overlay. Style the widget using its fields, copy the overlay URL into a Browser Source in OBS, and it updates on its own as your music changes.

Playback control and song requests

Connect Spotify under Settings > Connections > Spotify to let chatbot commands play, pause, and skip, and to let viewers queue tracks with !sr. Playback control needs Spotify Premium and Spotify playing on a device. This uses your own free Spotify app from developer.spotify.com with beacon://spotify-callback as its redirect URI; Copy from my music overlay reuses the app already saved on a Now Playing overlay.
