Installation

At the moment the best way to run MeqTrees and the related software is to use Ubuntu 12.04 (precise) or 14.04 (trusty) and install the precompiled packages for this version. . If you want to develop on MeqTrees or you want to build the software yourself (for example when you run an unsupported ubuntu or an other Linux distribution) you can follow the build from source instructions. If you want to run MeqTrees in a virtual machine, for example when are running OSX, we offer a Vagrant installation procedure. We also offer Docker images.
