Sequenced Crafting
Sequenced Crafting is a new form of crafting that Reg's More Foods adds to allow players to craft certain items which would otherwise be difficult to create (due to datapack limitations). This page is a tutorial of sorts on how to use it.
Both the Shaker Cup and Mixing Bowl use Sequenced Crafting, although Shaker Cups don't name the system specifically.
If you make a mistake crafting an recipe with either crafting device, you can press the Use Key while holding Crouch to empty out the item.
Note
This tutorial page is designed for any Reg's More Foods version after v1.3.0b, where the item is used with the actual Use Key (default is Right Mouse Button). Versions before v1.3.0b should function the same, except the player must hold the Crouch Key instead, and the item is crafted automatically at the end of the sequence.
These directions use the crafting of Strawberry Smoothies as an example. Below is the recipe we'll be following, but the Mixing Bowl functions identically to this set up:
Step 1. Hold the Shaker Cup in your mainhand.
Step 2.
Because the first item in the sequence is a Water Bottle, you can hold either a Water Bottle or a Barrel of Water in your offhand and press the Use Key on the Shaker Cup.
Using the Water Bottle for the recipe will return a Glass Bottle to your inventory.
Step 3. Because the second item in the sequence is a Snowball, hold a Snowball in your offhand and press the Use Key on the Shaker Cup.
Step 4. The third item in sequence is Strawberry Mash, so hold that ingredient in your offhand and press the Use Key.
Step 5. The recipe's almost done! As we can see here, it's ready to be "shaken", which is done by holding the Use Key on the item and literally shaking the cup.
The last item in sequence is a Glass Bottle. This means that the recipe will be contained in this item (not all sequenced crafting recipes follow this rule, but they typically do if the last item is a Glass Bottle, Bowl, or other container-type item).
After you've shaken the cup, it should appear enchanted. Then, hold a Glass Bottle in your offhand and use the Shaker Cup again to pour it into the glass. It sounds complicated but it really isn't!
Step 6. You're done! Enjoy your new item.
Mixing Bowl recipes don't need to be "shaken" to finish crafting, that's specific to the Shaker Cup. But they all usually follow this formula.
