Changelog for Version 1.5 of Reg's More Foods, nicknamed the Table Dressing Update.
Released on June 16th, 2026.

"Good to see you all again! This is likely the last major content release for Reg's More Foods while I work on the wiki and some other projects. From here on, I'll be fixing, improving, or maybe adding one or two features instead of like 20 foods every update."

"This update, named the Table Dressing update, adds only 3 foods and 7 items--but among those items are Scythes, which are replacing the Hoe's functionality of increasing drops when crops are broken. They also have improved AOE damage!"

"There's a lot more in this update that I'm sure you guys will like, so check out the changelog below!"

v1.3.0b Title Image

[1.5.0] - 2026-06-16

Added

Foods

3 foods have been added in this update:

  • Added Seasoned Ribs (thanks relimiteds!)
    • Fun fact: it took me longer to figure out how to make ribs in Minecraft than it did to add the item!
    • 2 Raw Seasoned Ribs can be crafted from 1 Raw Porkchop or Beef, Mixed Herbs, Apple Cider Vinegar, Mushroom Stew, and Salt, which then has to be cooked in a Frying Pan
    • Consuming the item takes 2.6 seconds, but restores 9 Nutrition and 10 Saturation!
  • Added Mutton Sliders
    • Mutton Sliders--too small to be considered burgers--are crafted from only 1 Bread, 1 Lettuce, and a single piece of Mutton
    • Consuming it restores 8 Nutrition and 8 Saturation, which is great because a player can use the extra bread that a burger would normally require to make a second Slider, doubling the potential Nutrition and Saturation gained
    • Despite being small enough to craft on-the-go, a Crafting Table is required to make it as only they have the magical ability to cook and prepare a burger without a Furnace somehow
  • Added Bowls of Pudding (thanks NIGHTMARE1238456!)
    • Rounding off Version 1.5's short food additions (and making the challange advancement have a clean "224" foods required!), Bowls of Pudding are now available!
    • They are crafted from Salt, Milk, Wheat (acting as flour), Sugar, and a Bowl
    • Consuming a Bowl of Pudding will restore 5 Nutrition and Saturation

Items

7 new items have been added in this update:

  • Added Raw Seasoned Ribs
    • To craft Seasoned Ribs, players will need to craft Apple Cider Vinegar, Salt, Mixed Herbs, Mushroom Stew, and either Porkchops or Beef together in a Crafting Table
    • This recipe makes 2 Raw Seasoned Ribs, which can then be cooked in a Frying Pan
    • Consuming this item restores 3 Nutrition and 2.3 Saturation, but it's raw and has a 30% chance of giving you Hunger for 30 seconds so why would you do that
    • Like Seasoned Ribs, this item takes 2.6 seconds to consume
  • Added Scythes
    • Replacing the function of using a Hoe on crops to increase their drops, players can now craft and use Scythes to do the same thing (but it looks better)
    • Scythes deal +8 Attack Damage when used as a weapon, and have 250 durability
    • They also have a bonus sweeping edge damage ratio, dealing 1.2x damage as an AOE (so mobs indirectly hit take more damage than the actual mob hit)
    • They can be displayed in a Shelf (or an Item Frame, though it won't look as cool)
  • Added Pizza Boxes (Decorative)
    • These paper boxes are used exclusively for holding Pizzas, but nobody's stopping you from putting whatever else inside them!
    • They function like Bundles, with a key difference being that players can't see what's inside the box. The only way to know what's in a Pizza Box is to remove its contents
    • When any item is inside a Pizza Box, it will appear closed
    • They can be displayed in an Item Frame or Shelf, if players wish to
    • They're crafted from just 6 Paper, and can be stacked inside each other
  • Added Quartz Plates
    • These items are (currently!) for decoration, and can be placed in an Item Frame
    • They're basically just plates. Lovely on dining room tables!
    • Later, they will have proper functionality (like the Cooking Pot is planned to have) and will be used for displaying foods on them
    • They are crafted from 3 Quartz, which turn into 3 Quartz Plates
  • Added Lunch Boxes
    • With 5 Iron Ingots and 3 Iron Nuggets, players can now easily store their food items inside of Lunch Boxes
    • Like the Pizza Boxes, they function identically to Bundles (except you can actually see what's in them without having to remove items first)
    • These can also be displayed in an Item Frame or Shelf
  • Added Creative Pans (Admin Item)
    • A combination of the Frying and Baking Pan, a Creative Pan does exactly what you think it does
    • Creative Pans work on either of the Frying or Baking Pan's heat sources, and can cook the same items that either of them can
      • Some exceptions: Rotten Flesh cooks into Zombie Jerky instead of Leather, and all 3 Egg types turn into their Furnace-Specific items instead of only Fried Eggs
    • Creative Pans deal +10 Attack Damage, have +15 Attack Speed, and are unbreakable
    • This item's ID is rmf:creative_pan, fairly straightforward
  • Added Gold Trophies
    • The Gold Trophy is a special item granted only when completing "The Gourmand" advancement
    • It keeps track of how many times the player has "beaten" the datapack and displays it when used
    • Gold Trophies are VERY resistant to damage, so don't worry about accidentally dropping it in a pool of lava or a cactus--not even creeper explosions can destroy it!... though nothing is truly unbreakable in Minecraft, if you want it broken.
      • In the (unfortunate) event that your Gold Trophy happens to be destroyed, deleted, or otherwise completely obliterated, there is a crafting recipe for making another. However, it is only revealed if you have already completed Reg's More Foods. (Unless you have a datapack to unlock all recipes automatically :c)
    • It can (and should) be displayed in an Item Frame! Be proud your achivements.

Advancements

4 new advancements have been added in this update:

  • "Setting The Table" for crafting a Quartz Plate
  • "Packing Lunch For Later" for crafting a Lunch Box
  • "Harvest Season" for obtaining a Scythe
  • "Reaper of Souls" for dealing 12 or more hearts of damage to a Pillager, Vindicator, or Evoker while wearing a Skeleton or Wither Skeleton Skull... and while using a Scythe

Misc

  • Added a new config option for grabbing RMF world data
    • This allows players to get settings such as which settings are enabled, as well as the current RMF Version
  • Added a "cancel" button to config options to return back to the main config menu
  • All Pan types now have a Shelf display model
  • Cleavers now have a Shelf display model
  • Shaker Cups now have a Shelf display model
  • The Gourmand's Digest now has Shelf and Item Frame display models
  • Every entry in the Gourmand's Digest now has a button to direct players to its Wiki Page
    • Only two entries are excluded, both being the reward(s) for completing "The Gourmand" advancement (because that would be spoilers!)
  • Added rmf:burrito_from_dough and rmf:veg_burrito_from_dough recipe advancements

Changed

Foods

  • Pizzas now have a max item count of 8 (from 64)
    • Although this admittedly makes the item harder to eat, it makes them fit perfectly into Pizza Boxes (and to compensate, their crafting recipes have been buffed!)
  • Honeycomb Candy now restores 7 Saturation (from 2)

Recipes

  • All Pizza Recipes have had their outputs increased by 1
    • Crafting a Pizza recipe from Wheat will give 2 of that type, and using Dough will give 4 (from 1 and 3)
  • Separated all Pizza recipe groups into their own types, rather than all being one "pizza" group
  • Separated both Burrito recipe groups into their own types, rather than all being one "burrito" group
  • Crafting Burritos and Veggie Burritos from Dough now output 2 of their recipe (from 1)
  • Chicken Noodle Soup now needs Pasta to craft, instead of Bones

Advancements

  • Several advancements no longer show in chat when reached, but still pop up as toasts:
    • All advancements from "Freshly Gathered Produce" no longer show in chat
    • "Lil' Sundial" no longer shows in chat
    • "A Spiky Apple?" no longer shows in chat
    • "Makes Perfect Sense" no longer shows in chat
    • "Technically Placeable!" no longer shows in chat
    • "Extra Dietary Options" no longer shows in chat
    • "Cranking Up The Heat" no longer shows in chat
    • "The Original Grain" no longer shows in chat
    • "Nature's Acidic Apples" no longer shows in chat
      • This is to hopefully remove much of the chat spam that the datapack causes when multiple players are crafting or obtaining custom items

Misc

  • Moved Cooked Pufferfish Tails to the "Sides" page of the Cookbook (from Appetizers)
    • This wasn't even like, a bug. I'm just stupid
  • Changed all recipes with "food" category to "misc"
  • Changed all recipes with "blocks" category to "building"
    • Turns out, Minecraft 26.2 doesn't allow invalid recipe categories. So I had to change them, oopsies!
  • Renamed "_info.txt" file to "folder info.txt" and moved it to root pack folder
    • This should hopefully get rid of the annoying warning in console about ignoring that file being there because it's not supposed to be. If you don't understand anything I just said don't worry about it
  • Edited many files to work with Minecraft 26.2
    • Too long of a list to mention EVERY change, but this drop tweaked the structure for checking entity types, which required going through every mention of such in RMF files and changing them (mostly advancements but some recipe advancements as well)
  • Updated the rmf:bg/frying_pan_attack advancement
  • The rmf:reset_all_scores config option now automatically runs the rmf:load function
    • Running /reload would do the same thing as calling the function directly, but that would also reload ALL enabled datapacks, which might be annoying to players
  • Redid the texture of Pale Apples to make them a little less bland
  • Added Burrito, Raw Seasoned Ribs, and Shepard's Pie recipes to the rmf:bg/bowl_refunder background advancement file
  • The rmf:bg/failsafe background advancement now triggers as soon as the player exists, instead of requiring them to have a specific item first

Removed

Advancements

  • Removed the "A Bountiful Harvest" advancement since the Scythe adds its own advancement for that
  • Removed the rmf:bg/shepard_pie_refund function as rmf:bg/bowl_refunder does its job better
