Functional Overview

  • There will be a tab for DOS, and depending on whether installed, Windows and 4DOS too.
  • Select a tab to view and edit the corresponding system files
  • FreeDOS is automatically detected and will show FDAUTO.BAT and FDCONFIG.SYS accordingly.

Choose Clr to erase everything on the current page. Chars shows a character palette to insert extended/special characters.

Text can be marked holding down the Shift key - and then Cut (CTRL+X), Copied (CTRL+C) or Pasted (CTRL+V) anywhere on the page, other pages, or pages in other tabs.

Words will wrap at the end of each line intelligently to the next, for natural typing. Depending on whether ins Pressing CTRL+L will toggle display of line numbers (on by default).

Press F11 or the Maximize titlebar button to go full-screen editing.

You can print the system file with the Print button, or CTRL+P shortcut. Learn more about printing options.
