Broadcasts
Experimental. Broadcasts are new and may still have bugs. If something goes wrong, please open an issue, ideally with a
/cdisc admin logslink.
A broadcast disc plays no music. In a jukebox it goes on air, and the voices of players at its microphones come out of the jukebox and every speaker paired with it. A stage, a radio station or a town announcement is one disc away.
Works with Simple Voice Chat and Plasmo Voice.
Hold a music disc (not a goat horn) and run:
/cdisc create broadcast:Name
Whoever made the disc is its host. Put it into a jukebox and it is on air.
Open the jukebox's player screen and press Broadcast. The host, or an operator, adds up to six microphones there, each with its own colour, volume and mute.
Handheld. A lever that goes into your inventory. Only whoever holds it is heard. Right-click it for its settings:
- pass it to a player near the jukebox,
- put it back in the jukebox, where it waits until someone takes it again,
- turn it into a block microphone.
A handheld microphone taken further than handheld-range from its jukebox goes back to the host.
Block. Any block within block-range of the jukebox. It hears every player as far as their voice carries, quieter the further away they stand. Breaking the block removes the microphone.
The host can take any microphone back or remove it from the Broadcast screen. When the disc leaves the jukebox, the broadcast ends and its microphones with it.
