Player Screen
Put a CDisc disc into a jukebox, by hand or with a hopper, and it plays from the block itself. Everyone in range hears the same moment of the track.
Crouch at a playing jukebox and a bar appears at the top of the screen with the track, its time and its progress. While it shows, a right-click on the jukebox opens the player screen instead of taking the disc out. Without crouching, a right-click takes the disc out as in vanilla.
Each player picks how crouching works for them:
/cdisc sneak toggle one crouch turns the bar on, the next turns it off
/cdisc sneak release the bar shows only while the key is held
/cdisc sneak off crouching does nothing; discs go in and out as usual
sneak-mode in config.yml is the choice for players who never made one. Walking out of earshot takes the bar away.
Two rows. The top one holds the controls:
| Button | Does |
|---|---|
| Info | What is playing. Click to type an exact timecode in chat |
| Queue | Opens the disc queue |
| −5 s / +5 s | Seek. Not shown for live streams |
| Previous / Next | Moves through the queue |
| Pause / Play | |
| Repeat | Off, the whole queue, one track |
| Shuffle |
The bottom row holds Advanced, the Broadcast button on a broadcast disc, the lyrics paper and exit.
Advanced has the rest: speaker group, channels, beacon range, the jukebox volume heard by everyone, your own volume while you carry it, crossfade, carrying the jukebox, your track messages, and switching between the chest screen and the dialog. The screen remembers which of the two pages you were on last.
The lyrics paper scrolls the words in its lore. Left click shows the next view above jukeboxes, right click the previous one, shift+click opens your own hologram look. See Lyrics and holograms.
A button you have no permission for is not drawn at all. If someone else already has the jukebox open, you get a smaller screen with only what is yours: what you see over jukeboxes, your hologram look, track messages, and your own volume when you carry it.
On Paper 1.21.6 and newer the screen can open as a dialog window, with buttons that say what they do in words and a seek slider. The progress shown in a dialog is a snapshot redrawn every half second. Each player switches between the two from Advanced; player-dialog in config.yml decides the default.
These act on the jukebox you are looking at, or the one you carry:
/cdisc player gui
/cdisc player queue
/cdisc player pause | play
/cdisc player next | previous
/cdisc player seek <MM:SS | +seconds | -seconds>
/cdisc player repeat [off | track | queue]
/cdisc player info
/cdisc player status
repeat with no argument cycles. status toggles the progress bar.
One jukebox holds up to 42 discs and plays them one after another. Open it from the Queue button, or crouch and right-click a jukebox that holds discs but isn't playing, with an empty hand.
- Put discs into free slots; they play top to bottom.
- Click a disc to play it now, and confirm with the green wool.
- Take discs back out into your inventory.
The policy button decides what happens to a disc once it has played:
| Policy | The disc |
|---|---|
| Keep | stays where it is |
| Eject | pops out of the jukebox |
| Move to end | goes to the back, so the queue cycles |
"Move to end" with repeat set to the whole queue never stops.
The discs live inside the jukebox. Breaking or burning a loaded jukebox drops one jukebox item that still holds every disc, and placing it again puts the queue back. Queues survive restarts and crashes.
The next disc in a queue is loaded ten seconds before the end, and the last seconds of both are blended, so there is no gap.
# config.yml
crossfade: 5 # seconds; 0 turns it off, 15 is the mostEach jukebox can also switch it off from Advanced, or Options in the dialog. Live streams, repeat-one and a lone disc never blend.
resume-playback: trueA jukebox that was playing starts again from where it got to once its chunk loads, not at startup, so a jukebox in a far corner doesn't hold a chunk for nobody. A paused one stays paused, and a live stream resumes at whatever is being broadcast now.
The "Now playing" line is per player. Turn yours off from Advanced, or:
/cdisc messages [on | off]
- Live streams from Twitch and YouTube play for as long as the broadcast runs, with their chat in place of the lyrics.
- Parrots within three blocks dance to CDisc discs as they do to vanilla ones.
- A jukebox inside a WorldGuard region answers only the region's members. See Integrations and API.
