DrupalCon Global
- Melissa and Danny attended and gave a presentation which went well with over 266+ people attending. There was a nice mix of folks with many new adopters and some familiar faces. Some folks in audience built the actual tools we're using which was nice to connect on.

- A session recording was made but isn't free or publicly available until December.

The presentation was given with two angles:
- talking about tools, code, materials etc within in Islandora / Drupal community that support Drupal as DAMS.
- to emphasize that the things we use and build within the Islandora community are also beneficial and useful to the Drupal community and not niche. This got a very good response from the audience.
- There were chats with new outside vendors about Islandora as something to offer as a DAMS solution when clients come to them. Review the positive aspects of Drupal 8 and Islandora to accomplish and attract clients and new vendors.
- Danny watched Dries keynote re future of Drupal all about surveying the community and what they want to set priorities. Good confirmation that the IF is heading in the right direction with its own surveys and in following the Drupal community with this.
- Melissa & Danny also presented a lightning talk at the Library Summit as well.

Last draft of the survey called Survey Choices for Next Features (in no particular order)
- Once completed, this survey will be made as a key component of Islandora Online to identify what the community needs and to coordinate development around concrete needs. A panel involving Danny will be involved during the Islandora Online on Tuesday. People will be split up into breakout rooms to pick top 3 priorities and then everyone will come back to discuss findings.
- Longer discussion around tool building, clarifying concepts, wrapping up in-flight projects, links to be added
- Additional categories were reviewed, discussed in detail and ultimately added eg. "Documentation, Metadata, Migration, IR Functionality, UX, Multi-site search, Tuning Islandora for deploy into the cloud" and many more topics that might need work or are of interest to the wider community.

- This will solicit feedback from the community
- The Islandora Community Group (ICG) might still be planning to have its hack/doc at the end of the summer. Potential for coordinating wider development or documentation sprints with Islandora community at the same time.

- 102+ people signed up with only 4-5 moderators.
- Melissa is trying to recruit more moderators for smaller groups in the breakout rooms.
- Will call for volunteers on Slack for games and protection from Zoom bombing with app testing.
- Live captioning - don't have resources to do this properly but there are free options e.g. Google slides. that might need to be further tested.
- David K recommended considering Open Broadcast System OBS as used in Twitch.
- Separate transcripts posted prior or post if possible by presenters?
- Will also have transcriptions posted after the fact etc.
- Recommend a Google doc for folks to capture notes.
- ISLE wrapping up in some areas but much more to do
- Danny will be attempting to smooth out developer environment build process and documenting
- Encourages folks in community to test and use ISLE 8 and give feedback on the Github issues queue.

ISLE Interest Group (Gavin)
- ISLE 8 as a prototype project has been wrapped up and is now a community project
- The current meetings will be folded into the ISLE Interest Group and the Islandora 8 development call
- Gavin - working on the project was a great experience with such kind, upbeat and knowledge people. I learned a great deal and look forward to seeing what we can do in the future. Many kudos and thank yous to all on the project especially Danny L, Danny B. Nigel, Nia, Jonathan G., Aaron B and Noah.
