    • Not much news. Notes are up for last meeting. Breaking out into two working groups.
    • Donald has put up a backup discussion document looking at backing up Fedora objects
    • Background Services Discussion working group is coming together. Looking for more members.
  • Archival interest group (Nick)
    • Sarah will schedule a meeting soon
  • Documentation interest group (Kirsta)
    • Notes going to GitHub
    • Survey is out. 11 responses so far; encouraging the community to spread the word. IDIG will report back on the results someday.
    • Last meeting spent deciding on group procedures and roles
    • Some discussion on documenting the minimally viable Islandora installation
  • Fedora 4 Interest Group (David):
    • May have moved beyond being an interest group.
    • Prospectus and Project Plan are in development.
    • Funding plan in place. Looking for supporters to develop Islandora /Fedora 4 Prototype.
    • Will hire technical lead on contract. Project lead is likely to be Nick.
    • production release of Fedora 4.0 coming soon!

Islandora Camp updates

  • iCampBC - Feb 16 - 18
    • Instructors: Melissa, Erin, Mitch, Mark J
  • iCampEU2 - May 27 - 29
    • Instructors: Melissa, Nick, Luis (from FJM), last dev TBD
  • Islandora Conference (PEI) - August 3 - 7?
  • iCampCT - Oct or Nov

New Business

  • Islandora Chef - License discussion
    • Our LSAP says everything goes under GPLv3; chef recipe is under Apache 2. Is that ok?
      • Rational is that this is more of a "meta-tool", not a module like other contributions.
      • Some code in it is Apache 2, so may not be able to change it.
    • May need to update LSAP to allow for non-Drupal modules to have open-source licences in general. (Melissa to create proposed new LSAP)
  • Changes to IF Board membership
    • Priscilla Caplan has left the board. Peter Murray has taken her place.
  • Welcome to new LYRASIS rep Chad Nelson.
  • From IDIG - Should IF gets its own Confluence from Atlassian?
    • Open to the possibility, but more information is needed before we can discuss the pros and cons. Is OnDemand available for free, or just a free licence?
  • Roundtable
    • Kirsta - USTC is hiring a new developer to work with Islandora
    • Melissa - IF will soon be issuing Open Badges that are hosted through Fedora. Credit to Jeremy Nelson for the app that makes this possible.
    • Nick - Doing a lot of work to clean up the chef install script; adding Drush stuff to help with installing libraries
    • Donald - UPEI is working on next version of CAIRN (shared repo in Atlantic provinces). Has several new deployment docs to publish soon
