The team

Coodoo works with two AI developers: Claude Code (from Anthropic) and Codex (from OpenAI). Together they fill four roles. In the Team window (on the right) you decide who does what.

The roles

Role What it does Default
Development (primary) Tech, plan and code Claude
Research (secondary) Researches the codebase and the web Codex
Design Only UI/UX and icons, no tech Claude
Code review Approves or rejects every task Codex

Click Claude or Codex for each role. With Swap primary and secondary you switch the developer and the researcher around.

Tip: Make the developer and the reviewer different agents. Two different AIs spot more mistakes than one checking its own work. Coodoo warns you if you pick the same one.

The roles are locked while the autopilot is running.

Agent cards

For each agent you see:

  • Status: what it's doing right now (thinking, reading, editing, running commands, searching, compacting);
  • Version, and a notice if there's a newer version; see Updates;
  • Input and Output: the tokens for this project;
  • Cost: roughly what the work cost; see Statistics;
  • Context: how full the agent's memory was at the last step.

Context and compacting

An AI can only keep a limited amount of text in view at once: the context window. When it fills up, the agent summarizes its conversation (compacting) so it can keep going. The card shows how often that happened and when it last happened. You set how big the window is and when compacting happens under Settings → Context.

Model and effort

Under Settings → Agents you choose for each agent:

  • Model: Default (as set in the CLI), a model from the list, or Custom… with your own model ID.
  • Effort: Default, Minimal, Low, Medium, High, Extra high, Max or Ultra. More effort gives better solutions but takes longer and uses more. A dot marks the model's default. If a model can't handle a level, Coodoo uses the next lower one.

Subscriptions

Coodoo uses the subscriptions you're signed in with at Claude and Codex. How much of them you've used is shown at the top under usage; see Usage of your subscriptions.
