Content is the same on every version and loader. Pick the file that matches both your Minecraft version and your loader.
- GeckoLib for your Minecraft version and loader. It draws the drying racks, kitchen shelves and spice racks.
- Fabric API on Fabric.
- JEI shows every station recipe with its own category, plus info pages for the sink, rice seeds and bushes.
- Season System controls when the crops of this mod grow and unlocks four seasonal dishes. See Integrations.
- Wild Creatures adds its meats and eggs to the frying pan, the drying rack and the cooking pot. See Integrations.
Install the mod on the server and on every client. The server decides all settings: thirst, diet, buff foods, station timings and so on. Clients don't need their own config; the guide book, tooltips and cookbooks follow what the server sends.
The config file is config/expandedfoodsystem.properties, explained on Configuration.
The mod checks for a newer version when you join a world and tells you in your own chat. On a dedicated server the check only writes a line into the server log, players never get a message from the server. You can switch the check off in config/expandedfoodsystem-update.json.
Worlds from 1.6 load fine. Two things change:
- Rice now grows in water. Rice that still stands on dry farmland stops growing. Harvest it and plant the seeds again in a rice paddy.
- The old config file keeps working. New options are added with their default values, and every option now has an explanation right above it.
