Kitchen Furniture

Storage and furniture that keep a kitchen organised. The recipes are on Recipes.

Kitchen Counter

Counters come in every wood type, with a smooth stone top. Each one holds 18 stacks and opens like a chest. They are full blocks, so the cutting board, the mortar or the blender can stand on top of them. Breaking a counter drops its contents.

Sink

The sink has its own tank with 8 levels of filtered water. The water in the sink is always clean, no matter where it came from.

  • Filling it: pour in a water bucket, or place a rain collector directly next to it. The sink then draws one level per second from the collector until it is full.
  • Taking water: use a glass bottle (1 level), a canteen (a few levels) or a bucket (only when the sink is full).
  • Drinking: right-click with an empty hand to take a sip. Only works when you are thirsty.

A bucket and a rain collector next to the sink are the easiest way to have clean water at home.

Kitchen Shelf

A wall shelf with 9 slots, in every wood type. It shows a filled look when something is inside. Breaking it keeps the contents in the dropped item.

Spice Rack

A small wall rack with 9 slots for spices, herbs and powders. The jars on the rack fill up when you stock it. It only takes items that are used as spices. Breaking it keeps the contents in the dropped item.

Jute Bag

A bag with 9 slots, crafted from 7 jute fiber. It keeps its contents when you break it, so you can carry a whole set of ingredients in one slot. Jute fiber drops from grass, lies in village chests and is sold by farmers.

Shelves, spice racks and jute bags can't hold each other or other filled containers like shulker boxes or bundles. That keeps item data from nesting endlessly.
