Season System

Season System brings four real seasons to Minecraft: a calendar, seasonal weather, temperature, snow and ice in winter, changing grass and leaf colours and seasonal crop growth. The server keeps the calendar, so every player on a server sees the same date, weather and temperature.

Current version: 1.2.0 (released 28 September 2026). See What's New in 1.2.0.

Download: CurseForge · Modrinth

Features at a glance

  • Calendar with Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter, 28 days per season by default, and a year counter
  • Season HUD in the corner of the screen with season, day, year, temperature and the current weather event
  • Season Journal (press K) with calendar, forecast, almanac and HUD settings
  • Seasonal weather: rainy springs, dry summers, wet autumns and snowy winters
  • Weather events such as Heat Wave, Snowstorm, Bloom Day or Harvest Day
  • Temperature in °C that depends on season, biome, time of day, weather, shelter, heat sources and armour
  • Winter world: snow layers on the ground and frozen water, melting again in spring
  • Living nature: grass and flowers grow back in spring, flowers dry out in summer, leaf litter and dying grass in autumn
  • Seasonal colours for grass and leaves
  • Seasonal crops: every crop has seasons it grows in and a best season; the item tooltip tells you which
  • Crop profiles in a config file, so crops from other mods can follow the seasons too
  • Everything can be switched off or tuned in the config
