Decorations

Blocks made from creature drops to decorate your builds. They are in the Wild Creatures creative tab and in the Building Blocks and Functional Blocks tabs.

Fur rugs

Animal pelts with a 3D head. Each rug covers several blocks, depending on the size of the animal.

Rug Size Recipe
Bear Fur Rug 2 × 3 blocks
Gorilla Fur Rug 2 × 2 blocks
Boar Hide Rug 1 × 2 blocks

The recipe has the shape of the rug.

  • Placing: the head points the way you are looking. The rug reaches from the block you click towards you and to the right, like a bed. It needs free space and ground under every part.
  • Breaking: breaking any part removes the whole rug and drops it once. Pistons break rugs.

Shell blocks

Building blocks with stairs and slabs. Mine them with a pickaxe.

Crab Shell Stairs (makes 4)
Crab Shell Slab (makes 6)

Jellyfish Lamp

A glowing jellyfish as lamp shade, light level 15.

  • Placed on the floor it sits on a wrought-iron lamp stand.
  • Placed against the underside of a block it hangs from the ceiling like a lantern.

Jar and Firefly in a Jar

Jar

Makes 2, any kind of planks works. A glass jar with a cork lid. It can be placed as decoration and is used to catch fireflies.

Firefly in a Jar

  • Catching: use a Jar on a firefly (they come out at night). The firefly ends up in the jar.
  • In the world: the firefly flies little loops inside the glass, beats its wings and its light blinks. The jar gives light level 9.
  • Releasing: use the jar with an empty hand. The firefly flies away and the empty jar stays.

Creature heads

Ten creatures have a head that looks exactly like the creature.

  • Placing: on the floor the head looks away from you. Against the side of a block it hangs on a small wooden plaque.
  • Wearing: heads can be put in the helmet slot like mob heads.

Getting heads

  • Charged creeper: when a charged creeper kills one of these creatures, it always drops its head.
  • Hunting: when a player kills one, there is a 2.5% chance for the head.
  • Baby creatures never drop heads.
  • Crafting: every head can also be crafted. The pattern is always the same: a Bone Block in the middle, three of the creature's main material around it and one typical part on top.
