Definition

“Encrypt block volume with customer-managed keys” means a data storage volume (block storage disk attached to a VM/server) is encrypted using encryption keys that you manage and control.

Encryption of Block volume can be done in two way.

At the creation of boot volume

After creation of boot volume

Step to assign CMK while creating Block volume:
