ReyEngine is a desktop editor for League of Legends mods. It opens the game's own files — maps, champions, particle effects, sounds, the HUD — shows them the way the game draws them, and lets you change them. Your changes live in a project folder and are packed into a mod that a mod loader injects into the game. The installed game itself is never modified.
- Start Here — what you need, how a mod reaches the game, and the words you will keep seeing.
- Your first project — install, create a project, make one change, and see it in game.
- Pick a first real mod:
- Recolor a map — turn Summoner's Rift into a night or winter map.
- Play on a different map skin — force a shipped map skin onto a normal game.
- Place a prop — put a decoration on a map that really appears in game.
Stuck on a word like WAD, bin or override? The Glossary explains them in one or two sentences each. Something went wrong? See Troubleshooting and FAQ.

Your installed game is treated as read-only reference material. ReyEngine never writes into the Riot game directory. Everything you change lives in your project folder, and the game only sees it when a mod loader injects your exported package.
v0.5.0 made Direct3D 11 the default renderer and added map previews in the Content Browser, TFT board stages, map events, the game's fog, the critters and decorations every map places by itself, and forces, a Move handle and emission surfaces in the Particle Editor.
After an update, the menu entries whose capability changed carry a subtle glow. Help ▸ What's New… lists every feature by release, marks the ones this install has not acknowledged, and its Got it puts the glow out. The full notes of every release are on the Releases page; the app shows the same notes when it offers an update.
