Map Cartography
Each screen is a 16×16 auto-map render using map.dat page 0 (visual tiles)
and the cartography rules from Cartography.h / asm @0x2182.
Outdoor/surface screens use outb.32; interiors use townb.32.
North is at the top (disk row 15); row 0 on disk is south — same as MM2ED and the in-game Location spell map. Raw bytes: map.dat grids
All 60 map screens (map.dat indices 0–59), grouped like the game world.



Twenty surface maps in column A–E, row 1–4 order (north at top), named
by world sector (A1 … E4 from attrib.dat +0x15). C2 is Middlegate
overland; town maps are separate interior screens 0–4.

Full 7×6 stitch at native auto-map resolution (14×11 px per carto tile): center 5×4 surface sectors (A1–E4) plus elemental planes in the corners — Air NW, Fire NE, Water SW, Earth SE (1568×1056 px, 112×96 cells). Town interiors (screens 0–4) appear as terrain icons on the center block.


Two basement levels per castle: Hillstone, Woodhaven, Pinehurst, Luxus Palace.
