The FAQ specifically notes: "THE ONES ABOVE CAN OCCUR ANY NUMBER OF TIMES." [FAQ §3-3-1]
- Pathfinder: Two party members with Pathfinder → party can pass through all forests.
- Mountaineering: Two with Mountaineering → party can cross any mountain. Combined with Walk on Water (C3/6), these let the party go anywhere on the outdoor map.
- Cartographer: Enables auto-map in dungeons/towns.
- Critical rule: If the skill holder is unconscious or dead, the skill does not work. [FAQ §3-3-2]
- All other skills give +5 to a stat, except Heroism which gives +1 to all stats.

| D (Thund R) + E (Aeriel) | Vulcania: buy Troll Liver from the inn; fight (6 old misers, 6 cripples), then they introduce themselves. |

- Hireling cost increases by 50% (rounded down) per level gained; maximum cost = 50,000 gp. [FAQ §3-4-1]
- Hirelings are barred from some locations (Murray's Cave uses
