Camp, stable, and pet care

Choose your companion

Camp shows a 3D preview, your stable, the selected pet's stats, and its worn equipment. Left-drag the model to rotate it. The scene arrows select a camp background; each faction has five choices.

You start with nine living stable slots, arranged 3×3. Click a portrait to see that companion and its current information.

Use the lock beside Retire to protect a favorite from retirement. Locked pets are grayed out in the retirement list. This is a retirement lock, not protection from battle death.

Bar Meaning Restore it with
Health How much damage your companion can survive Herbs, treats, leveling up, or health recovery after resting
Food Whether your pet is adequately fed Treats
Energy Readiness to enter tower battles Rest

Before bonuses, a treat restores 35 food and 10% of maximum health. An herb restores 40% of maximum health. Talents, racials, and relevant equipment can improve healing. Carry up to 20 treats and 20 herbs. Supplies are available from the button at the bottom of the window.

Resting in the background

Rest first restores energy. Base recovery fills 100 energy in about ten minutes; WoW's rested-area flag increases that rate by 25%. Once energy is full, an adequately fed resting pet recovers one actual HP every five seconds. It wakes when both health and energy are full.

A pet deliberately set to rest keeps resting while unequipped. In a rested area such as a city or inn, eligible living stable pets can automatically rest. A manually awakened pet stays awake for that visit. Pets fighting in the tower do not receive this recovery. The mini shows sleeping Zs, and Camp shows the rest estimate.

Hunger and leveling

Below 10 food, hunger pauses normal recovery and drains health and energy toward their minimum. Hunger alone does not kill a pet. Feed it before expecting rest to help. Unequipped, awake pets avoid the active companion's needs drain; resting pets still consume food. Care and online-token timers run while logged in, not while the game is closed.

A level-up fully heals the pet that leveled up. It does not heal the whole team or revive dead companions. Tower victory XP is presented after the finishing action, rather than providing an early heal before the fight ends.
