Troubleshooting and Reporting
Update to the latest release and /reload. For a Lua error, open /cfpets errors, use Select / copy, and paste it into a GitHub issue. Automatic error sharing is helpful but does not guarantee the developer received your report or create a GitHub issue.
Include the version, client build/realm, whether you were solo or grouped, the panel or tower floor, what you clicked, what you expected, and what happened. A cropped screenshot is especially useful for a misplaced model or unreadable UI.

Error sharing is on by default and can be disabled in Settings. It sends a short redacted report attributed to this addon, not a copy of your chat or full save. Delivery requires the configured developer character to be reachable on the supported realm/faction with addon messaging available. Manual reports remain useful when delivery cannot happen.
I killed many creatures and found no pet. Check the exact farm source, group type, stable space, and whether a roll message appeared. A 5% chance does not guarantee a drop within twenty kills.
I got no kill XP. Use /cfpets xp. Check gray difficulty, your pet's current cap, the minute budget, and whether the client supplied a supported kill event. Your character being level-capped does not stop eligible pet XP.
Gear disappeared from my bag. Check the worn slots on your pets: equipped gear is removed from the loose bag display. Also check active trade offers and waiting rewards. If it is genuinely missing, report the steps and both users' versions if a trade was involved.
My pet is resting but not healing. Energy fills first. Health recovery needs full energy, adequate food, and no tower battle. Hunger can stop recovery. A dead pet cannot rest back to life.
An achievement did not count. Read its progress help. Native WoW pets and addon discoveries are different counters. Exploration, jumping, and dungeon events have specific requirements, and not all history from before a tracker existed can be reconstructed.
Inspect has old or missing stats. Update both sides, check sharing, select the player again, and allow time for the response. A cached entry does not prove the other player is still online.
A trade is pending after a disconnect. Keep the save, get both sides online, and retry delivery. Do not delete the save or roll it back to cancel.
The window disappeared or moved off screen. Try /cfpets, /cfpets pet, or /cfpets reset. Reset moves the windows; it does not reset your progression.
The model is invisible or badly positioned. Report the exact species, which panel, and a screenshot. Models come from the client; a portrait working does not prove every 3D view will frame it correctly.
I see a secret reward question mark. That is intentional. Hidden pets and some frames do not appear in their collection lists until discovered.
