Getting Started
Use Unraid 7.0.0 or later. Install the plugin using Installation and Updates, then open Settings → Appdata Cleanup Plus. Keep an independent backup of appdata you may need later.
- Leave Safe Mode enabled.
- Open Appdata Sources. Confirm the detected appdata root; add a manual root only if your appdata lives elsewhere.
- Rescan and wait for ownership checks. Size information may finish loading after rows appear.
- Review the Source and Detection reason columns. Open Details for uncertain paths, ownership evidence or ZFS impact.
- Select a small set of folders you recognize. Run Dry run.
- Review the preview. With Safe Mode enabled, eligible ordinary folders are moved to quarantine when you confirm cleanup.
- Open Show Quarantine, confirm the moved items, and retain them while checking that your applications work.
- Restore an item if needed. Purge only after deciding you no longer need its contents.
An exact ZFS dataset cannot be quarantined. Review ZFS Datasets separately.
A saved template can outlive its container. A folder can also remain after both container and template are removed. These are different discovery reasons, not proof that deletion is desirable.
Installed containers include stopped containers. Specific references remain protective. A file manager with a broad mount such as /mnt/user may be listed in Details without blocking the row.
If ownership is Unverified, resolve that condition and rescan. Disabling Safe Mode does not make an unverified or protected row eligible.
Confirm the installed version and hard-refresh the webGUI after UI changes. Reopen dialogs and rescan before acting on an old selection. For problems, follow Troubleshooting and download a fresh bundle as described in Diagnostics and Privacy.
