Can I use it without a radio? Yes: python mcIRC.py --demo (fake data, never transmits).

Does it work on Mac/Linux? It is built and tested on Windows.

Which devices work? Anything running MeshCore Companion firmware. See Connecting Your Radio.

Why does a node hold only 350 contacts but the map shows more? mcIRC keeps its own node memory; see Map and Node Memory.

Does mcIRC transmit on its own? No. Core mcIRC only sends what you type. Addons such as BC traffic bot or Auto reply can transmit; they are optional and have off switches.

Is the admin password stored? No. /login keeps it in memory for the session only; it is not logged or saved.

Will an update wipe my settings? No - see Updating.

How do I get my addon in the catalog? Writing an Addon.
