Crafting

Almost every secret block starts from two crafted items: Camouflage Paste and the Dummy Block. Make those first, then turn a Dummy Block into the secret version of a vanilla block by crafting the two together.

  • Most recipes are shapeless: put the ingredients anywhere in the grid.
  • Shapeless recipes with two or three ingredients also fit in your inventory's 2×2 grid. The 3×3 recipes need a crafting table.
  • Every recipe makes one item unless it says otherwise.
  • "Any wooden" means any of the nine vanilla woods: oak, spruce, birch, jungle, acacia, dark oak, mangrove, crimson or warped.

Camouflage Paste

Makes 9 Camouflage Paste. Shaped, 3×3:

  • 8 dyes around 1 Clay Ball.
  • Each dye can be any of the 16 colors. They do not have to match.

Dummy Block

Makes 4 Dummy Blocks. Shaped, 3×3:

  • 5 wool and 4 Camouflage Paste: wool in the corners and the center, paste on the four edges.
  • The wool can be any color, and the colors do not have to match.
  • A Dummy Block on its own crafts nothing.

Makes 4 Ghost Blocks. Shaped, 3×3:

  • The Secret Clamber is made from a Ghost Block, not a Dummy Block.

  • The Secret Gate needs the Redstone Dust. A Dummy Block and a Piston alone make a Secret Piston.
  • Secret Gate Segments have no item and cannot be crafted. A Secret Gate builds them, and they drop nothing when broken.
  • The Secret Piston Head has no item either. It appears when a Secret Piston or Secret Sticky Piston pushes out, and drops nothing.

Secret Goggles

Makes 1 pair of Secret Goggles. Shaped, 3×3:

  • 2 Eyes of Ender, 4 Camouflage Paste, 2 Prismarine Shards and 1 Heart of the Sea.
  • The Heart of the Sea goes in the center, with paste on the four edges and the Eyes of Ender in opposite corners.
  • The mirrored layout (Eyes of Ender top right and bottom left) works too.
  • You can also find Secret Goggles in End City chests: each chest has a 10% chance to hold a pair.

Switch Probe

Makes 1 Switch Probe. Shaped:

Secret Goggles
Trident
  • The Secret Goggles go directly above the Trident, in any column.
  • It fits in your inventory's 2×2 grid.
  • The recipe uses up the Secret Goggles.

Rotator Probe

The Rotator Probe has no recipe. Hold a Switch Probe, sneak and use it while pointing at nothing (at the sky, for example), and it becomes a Rotator Probe. Do the same to switch back.

  • The probe forgets any block it had stored when you switch it.
  • The Rotator Probe is also in the Secret Blocks tab of the creative inventory.

Builder's Goggles and Camouflage Wand

These two have no recipe and are not found in chests. Get them from the Secret Blocks tab of the creative inventory, or with /give.
