Ascent (Tower of Ascension)

The Ascent is a high-stakes, endless tower-climbing mode unlocked at Level 100. Each floor features increasingly difficult monsters and bosses, with powerful permanent stat bonuses awarded at specific Pinnacle floors.

It is one of the main endgame progression systems alongside Codex and Uber bosses.

How to Enter the Ascent

  1. Use the command /ascent
  2. You must have at least 1 Pinnacle Key
  3. Your run starts at a floor close to your previous best (5 floors below by default)

Pinnacle Keys are rare drops from high-level content (especially Uber bosses).

Floor Progression

  • Monster Level starts at 100 and increases by 1 per floor.
  • Modifiers become more frequent and dangerous the higher you climb:
    • Normal modifiers appear every 20 floors
    • Boss modifiers appear every 50 floors
  • Combat is the same as normal /combat, but you fight multiple floors in a single session without leaving.

Soulreap (Infernal weapon passive) automatically restores you to full HP after every floor clear.

Pinnacle Floors & Permanent Bonuses

Reaching certain floors grants permanent stat bonuses that apply to all your gameplay (combat, Codex, etc.). These are one-time unlocks.

Rewards & Milestones

  • Every 5 floors you receive a milestone reward pack (curio + random cache of runes, equipment, or boss keys).
  • Skiller (boot passive) can grant extra resources on floor clears.
  • All rewards are automatically granted when you clear a floor.

Special Mechanics

  • Pinnacle Keys are consumed when you begin a run.
  • Your progress (highest floor reached) is saved permanently.
  • You can retreat at any time, but you must use another Pinnacle Key to start a new run.
  • Combat state (jewel charges, some passives) resets between floors.

Tips for Climbing

  • Ward and Max HP are extremely important — invest heavily in Consume and good defensive gear.
  • Prioritize Pinnacle floors — the permanent bonuses are massive.
  • Test your build in the Dojo before attempting high floors.
  • Soulreap (Infernal passive) makes climbing much safer by restoring full HP after each floor.
  • Bring strong sustain (potions, partners, healing passives).
  • At very high floors, monster modifiers become extremely dangerous — preparation is key.
