Unlike the subsets (CO1, 12S, rbcl, matK, etc.) that are created with
the Snakefile (galaxy-tool-BLAST/utilities/genbank/Snakefile), the
blast database for genbank itself (which is called by blastn.xml)
is downloaded directly from NCBI. This can be done using:
wget ftp://ftp.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/blast/db/nt.*tar.gz
Notice that nt.*.tar.gz is the non-redundant nucleotide database
whereas nr.*.tar.gz is the non-redundant protein database.
Make sure to expand the files after download:
ls *.gz |xargs -n1 tar -xzf
On 20-04-2020 the size of the nt blastdb was 111 Gb, compared to
80 Gb on 05-03-2020.
