Ghoul Family
Corpse-eating undead that actively hunt farm animals rather than just shambling after players, and can patch themselves back up if they catch enough of a meal. This page covers the currently documented members; more ghoul variants exist in GMM and will be added here over time.
HP: 20 | Attack: 3 | Armor: 2 | Speed: fast
A faster, hungrier cousin of the zombie that actively hunts farm animals rather than just shambling after players.
Knock it below half health and, if it's got food stashed away, it pauses to eat and heal — dragging out a fight that should have already ended. It also moves noticeably quicker than an ordinary zombie, so outrunning it isn't as easy as it looks.
- Hunts livestock — actively targets and kills chickens, cows, horses, pigs, sheep, and baby turtles, not just players and villagers.
- Self-healing — below half health, eats a stashed piece of meat (or a scavenged animal byproduct like bone, leather, or feather) to heal, and stops hunting animals once it's full.
- Can open doors — configurable, on by default.
- Sunlight-sensitive — burns and flees toward shade in direct daylight, same as any ordinary zombie.
Anywhere in the Overworld — one of the more commonly encountered undead in the roster.
HP: 22 | Attack: 3 | Speed: normal
A mossy, underground-dwelling cousin of the Ghoul that never comes up to the surface.
It behaves just like its surface kin — hunts farm animals, and eats stashed meat to heal itself mid-fight below half health — but you'll only ever run into one below ground. A little tougher than a regular Ghoul, and a touch slower.

- Never surfaces — spawns only underground, in the dark below sea level.
Underground across the Overworld — below sea level, away from open sky. Never surfaces.
