The node saves Wi-Fi or Bluetooth traffic to the SD card as a pcap file that Wireshark opens.
- Web UI: Scan tab → Packet Capture → Start Capture.
-
Over mesh:
@ALL PCAP_START:0:300:0:CH1,6,11captures Wi-Fi for 300 seconds on channels 1, 6, and 11.@ALL PCAP_STOPstops it.
| Value | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Radio |
0 Wi-Fi, 1 Bluetooth |
| Duration | Seconds. Required |
| Band |
0 2.4 GHz, 1 5 GHz, 2 both. 5 GHz needs the C5 board
|
| Channels | Optional, such as CH1,6,11
|
The file lands on the SD card. Download it from the Results tab in the web UI, or pull the card and open the .pcap in Wireshark.
Warning
Stop a capture before you cut power, or the end of the file may be lost.
Capture on the channel the traffic is on; a capture pinned to channel 1 sees nothing on channel 6. A capture that ends when power is cut may lose its last writes, so stop it first. On a slow card, a very busy channel can drop frames.
