Every unit comes with the same published defaults. Change them before you deploy, or anyone who knows the defaults can reach your node.
- Flash the firmware. See Flash a node.
- Set the LoRa region. Without it, the radio never transmits. See Meshtastic radio setup.
-
Connect. For Full, join the
AntihunterWi-Fi network (passwordantihunt3r123), openhttp://192.168.4.1, and log in asadminwith the same password. For Headless, open a serial monitor at 115200 baud. - Lock it down (below).
- Run a scan, only where you have permission.
- Access point name and password: System → Settings → Access point.
-
Web login: change the
adminpassword in the same place. -
Node ID: set it in the web UI, or with
@ALL CONFIG_NODEID:AH02. Node IDs are 2 to 5 letters or digits. - Mesh channel: make your own encrypted channel primary and turn off the public one. See Meshtastic radio setup.
- Erase key: write down the key the flasher showed, and change it under System → Settings → Danger zone. See Secure wipe.
- The node ignores devices weaker than −95 dBm. Change it with
@ALL CONFIG_RSSI:-80. - Scans that hop channels use channels 1 to 11. Change them with
@ALL CONFIG_CHANNELS:1,6,11.
For Full, confirm you joined the Antihunter network and opened http://192.168.4.1. For the mesh, the radio needs its LoRa region set. See Troubleshooting.
